GREAT NEWS… Luna is HOME! Luna was rescued from Turkey. She has now joined Scott and Pamela Vesely of Palatine, IL.

Scott and Pamela were waiting for their hearts to heal after loosing their last dog. Although their hearts are still aching they yearned for the companionship of a dog and felt the time was right.

They wanted to make sure the fit was right – they felt so blessed with their last dog – said they were so spoiled because she was such a good dog. Their luck has continued as Luna is a super well behaved dog who has fit right in with their family and already brought much love!

Thank you to Seda Cinar for rescuing this sweet girl and traveling to Chicago with her and 3 other rescues to give them a chance at a better future.

Most importantly thank you to Pam and Scott for opening your home and hearts to Luna.

You too can save a life.

Luna’s Rescue Story

Merhaba!  Yes, that means “hello” in Turkish.  My name, Luna, is Spanish for “moon.”  And, now, I will be traveling to the U.S. into the care of the wonderful people at ISDF.  I’m quite the multicultural girl, and I’m only three years-old!

Aren’t I just a beautiful dog?!  You might not believe me, but my beauty is actually just the start of my long list of special qualities.  In fact, my awesome foster mom, Seda Cinar, totally raves about me!  She says that I am sociable and outgoing with dogs.  I am also great with kids of all ages and cats; I used to live with cats.  I require an average amount of daily exercise, and I am doing very well with my leash-training.  Inside the house, I behave in a calm manner, and I am crate-trained and potty-trained.  My foster mom says that I love attention, but sometimes I get a little jealous of the other dogs when they receive hugs (Beagles really irk me for some reason!).  I am good with answering to recall commands, and I already participated in training so I respond to all basic commands, including “lie down” and “leave it.”  Guess what I really love?  Being handled!  I absolutely adore being touched, brushed, and bathed.  Even at the vet when I meet new staff, I am super friendly.

My foster mom says that I would be a perfect companion for any family – whether experienced owners or first-time adopters, whether in the city or the countryside – I am just an overall easy, confident, friendly dog.  I am so excited to meet you soon and for our adventures to begin!

LUNA ARRIVES IN CHICAGO ON JULY 20, 2017
