Great News….Mui Mui is HOME.  Mui Mui was rescued from the streets of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  She is now a loving member of Tony Ellison and Tracy Arndt of Chicago, IL.  Mui Mui and K-9 brother Henry hit it off right away and she even seemed smitten with her new feline sister Baheera.

It was love at first site.  Mui Mui’s long journey was worth it… she has found her place… her people.  A perfect match was made today and she will now know what it’s like to be a part of a loving family and spoiled American pooch.  Many new fun-filled adventures await her and endless playtime with her new K-9 brother.

Thank you to Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better (MDDB) for saving Mui Mui’s life and working so incredibly hard to make sure she had a better future….most importantly to Tony and Tracy for making her dreams come true!

You too can save a life.

Pre-Adoption Post

Mui Mui was puppy-napped from a rural backwater fishing village known as Sungai Besar which is located in the south of Selangor state in Malaysia. She was spotted scavenging for food by a journalist who was there covering a by-election. (A by-election is held when the incumbent representative of a constituency dies and a need arises to vote in a new representative.) Upon asking around, the journalist found out that Mui Mui was the only surviving puppy from a litter of five belonging to a fishermen’s association in the area. Her mother was chained outside the ramshackle association building to guard the place and had also given birth there. Four of the puppies had been eaten by large monitor lizards but the mother dog somehow managed to keep Mui Mui safe. The plan was for Mui Mui to be chained alongside the mother when she was a little older. Realizing that there was not much she could do for the mother, the journalist abducted Mui Mui when she was on her way back to the city after the by-election was over. Mui Mui is very hardcore and can go on long hikes and loves to play ball. She is loving and likes to cuddle up with the MDDB volunteers whenever she has the opportunity.

MUI MUI is being fostered in Oak Park, IL.  She is very sweet and loving and has great house manners.   If you are interested in adopting her please contact us at info@istreetdog.com  You can find our adoption application here
