GREAT NEWS …. SCOOBY IS HOME!!! Today Scooby was officially adopted by Joseph Berglind of Chicago, IL. Scooby had a rough start to life being born on the streets of New Delhi, India. Luckily Aarti Bhardwaj of Happy Paws Medical Boarding Facility took him in and provided him food and shelter. However he longed longed for a home of his own. He has found his perfect match – his destiny with Joe. Joe used to train therapy dogs in college and longed for a dog of his own. A pal and best friend to share his life with – Scooby was very eager to fill this role! Joe tells me Scooby is doing great and is very smart and catching on quickly to life in a home. So happy for both of them! Thank you to Isobel Grant for bringing Scooby to ISDF’s attention and being his advocate . Thank you to Petfly for helping with flight logistics and thanks to Jackie Radcliffe for being his flight volunteer.
Most importantly thank you to Joseph for opening your heart and home to Scooby.

Pre-Adoption Post

Scooby is a very sweet natured and loving boy who is approximately 7 months old and 30 pounds.  Most likely will be between 40 and 45 when full grown.

Scooby is probably a whippet, retriever mix.  He loves to greet new people and is always ready to smother you with kisses. He was abandoned outside of a dog boarding facility called “Happy Paws” in New Delhi, India in June of this year.  He was tied up with rope to the gates of the center. He may have been a pet due to his love for people and happy nature.

He gets along well with all other dogs and loves to be around people including kids.

He is not faring well at the boarding facility and craves human attention which he does not get much of at the facility.  He is meant to be adored and loved as part of someone’s family.

Scooby will be arriving into Chicago on October 1st and is available for adoption.

Scooby is current on vaccinations, neutered, and micro chipped.  He is a very well mannered dog who is crate trained.
